Technological Advances in Permanent Hair Removal, Skin Rejuvenation and Cellulite Treatments

Throughout history, men and women have always sought ways to look attractive. Science and technology have, therefore, given due attention to this field, resulting in technological advances in permanent hair removal, skin rejuvenation and cellulite treatments.

Permanent Hair Removal

Shaving, plucking and waxing used to be the only options for hair removal. Men have been shaving their facial hair through the ages. Women have been plucking their eyebrows and underarms and shaving their legs. Plucking underarms can be difficult, though, and some women took to shaving there instead. Eventually, waxing came into fashion. It became the better choice after women realized that plucking or shaving underarms could result in ingrown hair, chicken skin and darkening. Waxing legs also became the norm when it was established that it resulted in longer periods before re-growth.

Waxing could be painful, though, and men who have tried it have declared their admiration for women who regularly undergo leg waxing. Many women are even more daring and go for waxing to remove unwanted hair in the bikini line.

Permanent hair removal need not be painful, though. The latest technology for permanent hair removal is called Intense Pulsed Light Treatments (IPL). This laser hair removal treatment, now available in Tampa, is virtually painless. With the advanced Candela GentleLASE system, a coolant is applied to the skin before every laser pulse. The Intense Pulsed Light Treatments (IPL) involve the use of full spectrum light that destroys hair follicles for permanent hair removal while leaving the skin totally free from damage or any other negative side effects. Only existing hair follicles can be destroyed, though. Since hair grows in stages, not all hair follicles can be zapped in just one session. Patients will need to undergo five to nine sessions in order to catch all the subsequent growths. After that, the treated areas will be permanently smooth and hair-free.

Skin Rejuvenation

Face lifts and other forms of plastic surgery used to be the solution to aging skin. Nowadays, technological advances have brought skin rejuvenation therapies without the need for any invasive plastic surgery. As a testament to the safety of Intense Pulsed Light Treatments (IPL) for the skin, the exact same technology is also used for skin rejuvenation.

Intense Pulsed Light Treatments (IPL) have been proven to be effective in erasing lines and wrinkles on the face or any other body parts by provoking the production of collagen. This also prevents the formation of new lines and wrinkles. Furthermore, Intense Pulsed Light Treatments (IPL) erase freckles and skin discolorations in the form of brown spots caused by aging, hormonal imbalance and sun damage. A very welcome side effect is a reduction in the size and visibility of pores.

Another major use of Intense Pulsed Light Treatments (IPL) is to clear up vascular lesions or spider veins that can occur on the face or legs.

In fact, because of its many uses, Intense Pulsed Light Treatments (IPL) can be applied to virtually any body part that needs skin rejuvenation treatment. This includes the face, neck, chest, back, arms and hands.

Cellulite Treatments

For slimming and the elimination of cellulite, the old paradigm was the use of liposuction. Unfortunately, liposuction was found to have quite a number of serious side effects. Even worse, it was found to be ineffective in eliminating cellulite.

Once again, technology comes to the rescue with a non-invasive alternative that not only slims and shapes body contours but firms up the skin and dramatically reduces cellulite, as well. This new technology which uses light, heat, suction and massage in one machine is called VelaShape.

The good news is that all these technological advances are within the reach of most of us. Check them out.

Get Perfect Skin and a Sculpted Figure

Who wouldn’t want to take advantage of the most advanced scientific breakthroughs to get perfectly smooth skin and a trim physique? Men and women nowadays are equally aware of the advantages of presenting a youthful looking image. It will definitely have a positive impact on your career and social life. Knowing that you look your best makes you feel good, too. This boosts confidence and improves performance in all areas of life.

In the recent past, though, the methods for achieving spotless wrinkle-free and hair-free skin, as well as a cellulite-free body, were either painful or dangerous or both.

Skin discoloration used to be bleached away with hydroquinone, later found to be potentially harmful to the skin. Facial wrinkles were addressed with facelifts, which is plastic surgery. Sometimes, the surgery resulted in unnaturally tight mask-like faces. Of course, surgery will always have risks. Equally invasive was the traditional liposuction method used to siphon away fat from certain body parts. It was observed, though, that liposuction could not remove cellulite. It had also led to death in certain cases. For permanent hair removal, the most popular method had always been regular waxing. Anyone who has been waxed, though, will tell you that it involves a lot of pain.

Fortunately for those of us who have never stopped hoping, the latest developments in body, skin and hair treatment now offer gentler and safer alternatives that are even more effective.

Skin Rejuvenation without Plastic Surgery

The latest non-invasive method for skin rejuvenation is with the use of Intense Pulsed Light Treatments or IPL. This is a laser treatment that erases skin discoloration of any kind, shrinks pores and causes collagen production, resulting in smoothened wrinkles and finer, firmer unblemished skin. Not only are existing lines and furrows removed but future ones are prevented from forming, as well.

Intense Pulsed Light Treatments or IPL also resolves and erases spider veins, varicose veins and vascular lesions on any part of the body. Indeed, the many uses of IPL can be applied on the face, neck, chest, back, arms, hands, legs and feet.

Permanent Hair Removal without Waxing

Another application for Intense Pulsed Light Treatments or IPL is permanent hair removal. In fact, it is now a very popular method of laser hair removal in Tampa. This laser treatment targets and destroys hair follicles to prevent hair from growing back. This type of laser hair treatment only works on growing hair, though, so patients need several sessions to ensure total and permanent hair removal.

Again this laser treatment can be used to remove hair on many body parts, including the face, ears, chest, back, armpits, groin, buttocks and legs.

Cellulite Banished without Liposuction

Intense Pulsed Light Treatments or IPL may have obliterated our skin spots, ironed out our wrinkles and zapped away our unwanted body hair but those tiny lumps just beneath the skin remain, leaving an unsightly corrugated effect on our thighs and buttocks. We know that problem all too well and it’s called cellulite.

Many of us have tried all sorts of exercises. We may have lost some weight but the cellulite seems impervious to them. Yes, even those who have resorted to liposuction found that it did not have any effect on their cellulite. Most cellulite treatments, creams and lotions do not work, either.

The solution lies with VelaShape – an FDA-approved device that breaks down fat deposits, including cellulite, through light, heat, massage and suction. It shapes your body contours and firms up your skin.

New Methods for a New You

Now you can look perfect. As children of our age and heirs to all these scientific breakthroughs, don’t you think we deserve to benefit from these new methods for self-improvement?

Cellulite Treatments For Smooth "touch Me!" Skin

One of the earliest cellulite treatments that has ever been patented is the Endermologie, which has France for its beginnings in the 1980s. First performed in the US in 1996, it has since been approved by the US FDA as a cellulite treatment. It is described to be non-invasive, in contrast to other treatments, and an Endermologie machine is utilized to perform vacuuming and rolling actions so the cellulite deposits will be disintegrated.

This treatment is based on the principle that blood flow and drainage from lymph nodes increase as fats under the skin decrease. This action removes surplus fatty cells and fluids. Endermologies are performed for at least 30 minutes up to an hour, needing a number of sessions weekly for several weeks, for complete effectiveness. Because it is not as invasive and entails the least pain, this procedure has become popular.

What can i get from this procedure?

Cellulite is a condition of the skin that makes one very self-conscious and affects self-esteem negatively because of its unpleasant appearance. Endermologies presents a non-surgical way of fixing this situation. Because its non-surgical, theres no need for anesthesia, so possible risks are removed. This procedure can be done alongside a prior liposuction, so healing is hastened and the liposuction effect is enhanced. It is an easy procedure to undergo and your blood flow gets moving which further decreases the re-appearance of the ugly cellulite.

Who would gain most from endermologie?

Cellulite occurs among women who are post puberty and appears on the buttocks, thigh and abdominal areas. It looks like uneven dimpled skin and results from toxins and fat confined above connective tissue bands in the skin. These toxins and fat get packed together and solidifies, blocking the flow of blood and thus form the cellulite.

Cellulite is rarely found in men and is in no way connected to obesity. It comes out in women of whatever size because it is the outcome of the relationship among body fats, genetics, hormone levels, aging, diet and smoking.

Best candidate-patients would be healthy women who understand the procedure and its drawbacks. Cellulite treatments are created to upgrade, not to perfect, an appearance. Women wanting to improve their looks with smoother skin in essentially a pain-free and swift method are ideal for this treatment. Elevating your self-esteem and enhancing your image are ideal reasons for seeking this treatment.

The Procedure and Recovery

Cellulite treatments differ based on the type of equipment to be employed. Generally, though, you will have to don a special body suit to prevent the rollers of the machine from pinching and facilitate their smooth roll over the body surface.

The dual massage rollers and suction stir up the tissues and crumble the cellulite deposits. There is more attention on problem spots but other areas are still dealt with to help the circulation with the removal of fluid and toxin. There are typically twice-weekly sessions lasting 35 minutes on the average.

The treatment is quite painless and takes no downtime. Some soreness or bruising occur, but these quickly fade.

Complications

Endermologie has been reportedly effective, generally, but there are instances where the treatment didnt work. Sometimes multiple sessions would be required before results are visible, and this makes it more expensive.

Costs

One treatment, more or less, costs around 5, but you must remember that you will be undergoing more than one treatment to achieve and sustain results. These results could also differ and are not guaranteed. This stated amount includes the doctors fees.

Dont forget to include miscellaneous items in your computation, like facility fees and the possible number of sessions. The area where your procedure will be done is also a factor, with the doctors experience or skill, to cost estimates. You may, however, consult your doctor about financing options.

Alternative methods

Other cellulite treatments use topical creams and other procedures. Mesotherapy is also one, which uses injectible medications under the skin surface. But this is not FDA-approved and warned against by doctors because the injected medications have various ingredients, making the results unpredictable.

Pre-Wedding Treatments to Schedule: Cellulite Treatments, Permanent Hair Removal Treatments and Skin Rejuvenation

So you’re planning on getting married next year? You just have enough time to start preparing yourself for the most important day of your life. If you want to be a radiantly beautiful bride with a svelte cellulite-free figure and perfectly clear smooth skin that is totally hair-free where you want it to be, you can make that happen. You have options for effective cellulite treatments, permanent hair removal and skin rejuvenation. But you have to start taking care of yourself right now.

VelaShape Cellulite Treatments

Does your dream wedding gown require a flat abdomen with no love handles? Do your honeymoon plans include a beach or a poolside where you will have to wear your sexiest swimsuit that demands cellulite-free buttocks and thighs? There’s no need to worry.

No, I’m not going to recommend that you undergo plastic surgery or liposuction. Plastic surgery is too invasive. Liposuction may be less invasive but it has its drawbacks, too. Patients have reported experiencing pain, a lot of blood loss, loosened skin and long recovery periods. In the end, it has been proven that liposuction does not even solve the problem of cellulite.

Fortunately for all of us, there is a more effective non-invasive option for a trimmer cellulite-free figure. VelaShape is a machine that uses bi-polar radiofrequency (RF), infrared light energy, vacuum and mechanical massage to shrink fat cells and fat chambers, resulting in a visible reduction and reshaping of the treated body part. Body parts that can be treated include the abdominal area, buttocks and thighs. Patients have reported reduction from 1 cm. to 7.2 cm in as early as two sessions, a week apart. The body is slimmed down, contoured and toned, resolving cellulite. It is effective, safe and, according to patients, virtually painless. There is also no downtime at all. After treatment the patient can go about normal activities.

Permanent Hair Removal and Skin Rejuvenation through Intense Pulsed Light Treatments (IPL)

Your figure problems may have been solved by VelaShape but what about unwanted body or facial hair?

Wherever you want to get rid of unwanted body hair, permanent hair removal will free you from your problem. This can be achieved through Intense Pulsed Light Treatments or IPL, a laser hair removal treatment that can be done right here in Tampa. Using full spectrum light from flash lamps to destroy hair follicles and prevent regrowth, IPL does not damage the skin nor does it cause any unwanted side effects.

Since IPL targets hair during its growth stage, though, five to nine sessions are needed, ten to twelve weeks apart, for complete hair removal. This means you have to allot at least a year for your permanent hair removal treatments before your wedding, and you have to start on it right now. You won’t regret it on your wedding day and your honeymoon.

One other reason you’ll love IPL is that it can be used for skin rejuvenation, as well, erasing any skin discoloration, eliminating blemishes, shrinking pores, smoothening wrinkles and lines, and firming skin on the face, neck, chest, back, arms, hands, legs and feet. You may need two to four sessions, four weeks apart. This means you have to allot two to four months to this treatment before your wedding.

It would be really convenient if you could find a reliable center that offers all these treatments so that you can get the full package at a good price.

Now you’re all set. You’ll definitely be a beautiful bride on your wedding day. You can go on and order that dream wedding gown and that tiny honeymoon bikini now.

Reinvent Yourself with VelaShape, Skin Rejuvenation and Permanent Hair Removal

Reinventing yourself has become a popular self improvement method in recent years. This has become even more feasible with the availability of advanced scientific breakthroughs that could deliver safe and effective skin rejuvenation, permanent hair removal and figure reshaping. Everyone wants to look young and trim. Looking good makes you feel good, boosting self confidence which, in turn, translates into better performance in various aspects of life, including career and social life.

It seems unthinkable that not too long ago, one had to undergo painful and dangerous procedures just to achieve smooth flawless hair-free skin and a cellulite-free figure. Skin blemishes were previously bleached off using hydroquinone. This substance has later been proven to be quite harmful especially when overused. To achieve permanent hair removal, people endured the pain of waxing.

Facelifts and other forms of invasive plastic surgery were commonly resorted to in addressing wrinkles and excess body fat.  Many of those who had facelifts ended up with tight faces that looked like masks. Those who chose liposuction to remove fat risked excessive bleeding, pain and long recovery periods. In some cases, liposuction even led to death.

Luckily, those who aspire for a better figure with young-looking hairless skin can now have access to new and improved technologies for body, skin and hair treatment. These alternatives are far safer and gentler. They also happen to be more effective.

Skin rejuvenation is now very possible even without plastic surgery. Intense Pulsed Light Treatments or IPL represent the latest non-invasive skin rejuvenation method, using laser treatment to erase all types of skin discoloration, to shrink pores and to trigger the production of collagen in order to smooth out wrinkles and produce fine, firm and unblemished skin. Age furrows and lines are erased and the formation of new lines and furrows are prevented.

Another common skin problem consists of spider veins, varicose veins and vascular lesions which can appear anywhere on the body but mostly on legs and, sometimes, even on the face. These, too, can be resolved by Intense Pulsed Light Treatments or IPL which can be used on the face, neck, chest, back, arms, hands, legs and feet.

That’s not all. Intense Pulsed Light Treatments or IPL is also used for permanent hair removal. Yes, permanent hair removal is now possible without the pain of waxing. Because it is pain-free, Intense Pulsed Light Treatments or IPL has become the best choice for laser hair removal in Tampa. As a laser treatment, it obliterates hair follicles, thereby preventing hair from ever growing back. It can be used on unwanted hair on the face, ears, chest, back, armpits, groin, buttocks and legs. Patients need to undergo several sessions of this hair treatment to achieve complete and permanent hair removal, though, because it targets only growing hair.

Now that Intense Pulsed Light Treatments or IPL has addressed skin and hair problems, what about cellulite? Well, cellulite can now be effectively resolved without liposuction. In fact, liposuction itself has been observed to be ineffective in removing cellulite. Many other cellulite treatments like lotions and creams have failed, too. Even those who have tried rigorous exercises and special diets have been frustrated by the results. Cellulite seems to be resistant to all treatments. The little lumps persist under the skin, like corrugated ripples on buttocks and thighs.

VelaShape provides an FDA-approved non-invasive solution to this seemingly impossible problem. The VelaShape device uses light, heat, massage and suction safely and painlessly in breaking down fat deposits and cellulite. The body is reshaped and the skin is firmed up, leaving a shapely silhouette.

So, are you up to the challenge of reinventing yourself with skin rejuvenation, permanent hair removal and figure reshaping? Intense Pulsed Light Treatments or IPL and VelaShape are yours for the asking.

Laser Liposuction-how it Works and Why the Laser Assisted Technique Improves Fat Removal, Skin Tightening, and Liposculpture

You are very lucky if you have waited until now to consider having liposuction, or liposculpture body contouring. The new laser liposuction techniques are a vast improvement over traditional methods. The new laser technology melts fat and tightens skin resulting in a much gentler liposculpture procedure and minimal loose hanging skin after liposuction.

Whether you have a double chin, tummy fat after childbirth, saddle bags, spare tire, or just little problem areas around the hips or thighs, the new laser assisted liposculpture and laser body contouring techniques may be what you are looking for.

Not all of the machines in use are the same. Some laser wavelengths, such as the 924nm and 924/975nm work much better than others. You need to understand which technology is best if you are considering laser liposuction.

Liposuction is the most commonly performed plastic surgery operation.
-Traditional liposuction is done by inserting a metal tube called a cannula beneath the skin into fat containing areas of the body. High pressure suction is applied and fat is suctioned out from under the skin. While the procedure works well, it is traumatic as the suction pulls out not only fat but also some of the connective tissue which holds the skin tight to the body. There are several problems which can occur after liposuction:

]]>

-During laser assisted liposuction, a very small laser fiber is inserted beneath the skin. Heat from the laser melts the fat into a thin liquid. The liquid fat is then more easily removed with very small cannulas usually only2-3 millimeters in diameter. The heat form the laser also tightens the skin, and closes many blood vessels, thus less bleeding.

There are several different machines available using several different laser wavelengths-the 924nm, combined 924/975nm, the 1064nm, and the 1308nm are the most popular.

I prefer the 924nm and combination 924/975nm laser because the 924nm is very selectively absorbed by fat tissue. The 924nm liquefies 3 times as much fat as some of the other wavelengths and is also more strongly absorbed by blood vessels, which helps reduce bleeding and bruising.
The 924nm and combined 924/975nm laser is used by the SlimLipo™ laser liposuction machine made by Palomar Medical™.

If you are healthy, do not smoke, and have extra fat beneath your chin, around your tummy, on your hips, thighs, arms or knees, and are relatively fit and not obese, then you are likely an excellent candidate for laser liposuction. The younger you are the better your skin tightening will be after laser liposuction. I have, however, seen good skin tightening after laser liposuction in a 70 year old person-see photo below:

If you are obese and significantly over weight, you should lose weight first before liposuction.

Skin Deep: the Psychology Behind Plastic Surgery

Plastic surgery has experienced a boom of over 700% in the past decade. More and more men and women have accepted plastic surgery as a quick-fix method to attain physical beauty. In today’s hectic, fast-paced lifestyle, most people simply don’t have the time to really work on whatever part of their body they’re not entirely satisfied with. Instead, they turn to the so-called miracles of science for help.

Many of those who opted to undergo plastic surgery were driven to take extreme measures because of their obsession with youth. For them, remaining as youthful as possible was the main goal to be attained, regardless of the cost. Today, cosmetic surgery is also seen as a way for people with facial deformities to regain or improve their appearance. In essence, it is a field of medicine dedicated to relieving anxiety disorders and mental health problems caused by perceived “imperfections” in the body. So, why exactly do most cosmetic surgery offices have an in-house psychologist?

The answer is deceptively simple, if one takes the time to look at the nature of the field. Cosmetic surgery may not appear to touch upon any aspect of mental health aside from the obvious effects on self-esteem, but the reality begs to differ. Cosmetic surgery is closely tied to a person’s psychology, particularly during the period before the patient goes under the knife. The presence of a psychologist in the offices of a cosmetic surgeon is because when people ask for a cosmetic procedure, there is often a psychological reason behind it. This does not mean everyone that asks for a liposuction or breast augmentation has problems with their mental health. Rather, this means that the psychologist is there to evaluate whether the surgery will satisfy the person’s desire for improvement or if it is merely a sign of a deeper problem.

Some people might not take the possibility of mental health being tied to cosmetic surgery seriously, but people who have seen the effects of body dismorphic disorder beg to argue. For people who have realistic expectations on what cosmetic surgery can do for them, an improvement here and there is generally enough. However, some people have become psychologically conditioned to see themselves as “imperfect” or “ugly” regardless of their appearance. It is these people that may end up coming back to a cosmetic surgeon’s office again and again. It is these people that a resident psychologist has to spot before the procedure is agreed upon, to avoid further damaging the mental health of the patient.

Psychologists are also there to evaluate the reasons behind a person’s decision to undergo surgery, particularly if the procedure is one that can produce drastic changes. In most countries, a person will only be allowed to undergo a gender reassignment surgery only after a detailed and prolonged psychological evaluation. For drastic procedures, it is often best that the surgeons have an understanding of the various reasons why a person is asking for something to be done. This is necessary to avoid cases where the surgery did more harm to a person’s self-esteem and mental health than good.

In cases where the surgery is more re-constructive than cosmetic, the psychologist may be called upon to evaluate the patient’s mental health and readiness to return to a normal life. Some people who have undergone great physical trauma that requires plastic surgery may not be psychologically ready to resume a normal life. It is difficult to ascertain whether having re-constructive surgery done will help a person recover from the trauma they have suffered, or it it will only make things worse.

Protect Your Skin Against Damaging Uv Rays

How do I choose a good sunscreen? There are so many different products, textures, ingredients and claims that it can be confusing. Narrow the choice to by the following four: An SPF of 15 or MoreDermatologists agree that any (even those with darker skin should) follow this rule to be protected from UV damage. UVA ProtectionSunscreens used to protect the skin against UVB rays only, but it is now known that UVA rays also damage so make sure that you are a product of both screens. Look for the icon, or UVA UVA star (sometimes on the back of the bottle) – Five stars is a guarantee for the best possible protection. The European Commission has introduced new legislation in order to standardize the labeling of sunscreen products by 2009. They classify sunscreen products as follows: low level of protection SPF6 = – 14; = medium protection SPF15 – 29; High Protection SPF 30 = – 49; = Very High Protection SPF 50 +. You should never choose a sunscreen with a sun protection factor of less than 15 To ensure higher. Why sunscreens are so expensive? The price of sunscreen reflects the fact that expensive research is being done constantly to improve their effectiveness in shielding skin against UV light. Many of us take the importance of buying the best moisturizer to see our faces delay aging. But given the fact that about 80% of these aging the result of UV exposure, a better way to get the skin is young, looks for in a good sunscreen to invest. A recent survey by the British Association of Dermatologists showed that most women think, the best system for keeping her skin looking young apply moisturizing cream every day a healthy diet and drinking eight glasses of water per day. While these are important, they do not have the same anti-aging, sun protection works. If there is a category of skin care products that I ask the people who spend money, it is in good quality sunscreen. Is there a face that sunscreen does not give me spots? New technologies mean, now there is sunscreen for different skin types, as is the case with moisturizers. If you have oily skin, try a non-blocking pore. If sunscreens are now so good, why is it not to be safe in the sun as long as you want? Even if you apply a sunscreen with UVA and UVB filters – and call it good, that you do not miss all the patches of skin – you are not completely shielded from UV rays. This means you are not yet fully protects against skin cancer. survive, many ingredients in sunscreens not exposure to the sun for an indefinite time, it is recommended that you re more every hour and if you swim. There are many reasons for this diligently. Need a reminder? Sun skin is number-one enemy – it causes premature aging, hyper-pigmentation, capillary damage, thickening of the skin and worst of all, cell injury resulting in permanent damage that can lead to skin cancer. Should I get a sun bed before my vacation to give me a Base Tan? Never risk a sun bed. The health risks are very serious. Many people think a “base tan” will offer protection when they first go in the sun, but it offers little. At most, one might think of as equivalent to one or SPF2 SPF4. performed and what it does offer little protection from the damage will be compensated on a couch. Since there are now about all the possible big fake TANs, there is even less reason to risk a sunbed. What is the best sun lotion for people with sensitive skin? Choose a sunscreen specifically for sensitive skin, but even then, always try a new cream on a small area first. Each case of reactive skin is different. There is no history of skin cancer in my family, so why should I worry? The number of cases of skin cancer, the second most common cancer among 20-to 39-year-olds, is faster than any other cancer increases. Skin cancer is now so widespread, we should check our skin for worrying moles as regularly as we examine our breasts lumps. Melanoma (the deadliest form of skin cancer) appears most frequently on the legs, so pay extra attention to them. If you have something troubling, ask your doctor or dermatologist check it for you. What is the latest development in Sun Protection? Studies have shown that wearing even reduce a high protection factor is not significant, the amount of free radical damage caused by exposure to the sun. Therefore, antioxidants are now recorded on sunscreen. They “clean up” the free radicals caused by the sun and so help to prevent skin damage. Look for sunscreen products offer, the labels, “added antioxidants, especially vitamins A, C and E and green and white tea. In March 2009, the introduction of a reformulated Clinique contain sunscreen series, state-of-the-art antioxidants and UVA and UVB filters. Is it okay that I use on sunscreen from last summer left? In general, a product of two-and-a-half years – if it has been stored properly work. If it had been kept away from direct light with the lid properly closed, it should be OK. But if it smells weird, throw it away. Does anyone really need an SPF of more than 30? In most cases, an SPF of 15-30 is appropriate. But with a higher SPF if you do not want to keep, when reapplying the cream or impractical to do that, for example, if you snorkel. Another reason for using a higher SPF is the fact that you may not be possible in the application as well as you should. The reason why many dermatologists recommend a high protection factor is that most people do not apply sunscreen correctly. The biggest problem is not enough – which means that you can be effective, the protection of as much as two thirds. Sunscreen should be applied generously. As a rough guide, you must, at least, use 30ml – about six teaspoons – of the lotion to cover an average-sized adult body.
