According to the World Health Organization (WHO), in 2005, globally there are approximately 1.6 billion adults are overweight or overweight and 400 million are considered obese. Larsen believes that a strong filling effect and regulation of blood sugar more balanced may be the reason why food with high protein and low-GI weight loss can make better controlled after implementing the diet.

The results showed that the GI has an important role here, the people who follow diets low in protein or with a high GI have gained back more weight than people who follow the way of maintenance with low-GI diet.
There is great controversy about the role of glycemic index in general and treatment of obesity in particular. However, this study provides strong evidence to support the importance of the concept of low glycemic index. In essence, the way is simply to replace foods that contain lower carbohydrate, and which importantly is not to make carbonated beverages are the only food that you eat at that time.

These findings are presented at the International Conference on Polyphenols and Health in Harrogate, England. As known previously, magnesium deficiency may impact incidence of dementia in humans.
Elsewhere, an Israeli researcher, said Dr. Inna Slutsky, from Tel Aviv University Faculty of Medicine Sackler, sufficient magnesium is also an important key for memory function, but rely on supplements may not help much.

Tea has long been known as a nutritious beverage, rich in polyphenol content that functioning as an antioxidant. From numerous studies in the lab and experiment on animals, green tea and its extracts have been proven to prevent cancer, although still lack of clinical evidence. Clinical studies conducted to prove more and more anti-cancer effects of green tea, as practiced by scientists from the University of Texas MDAnderson Cancer Center.
A total of 41 patients with oral leukoplaque were included in the study, where they were given green tea extract with one dose of 500 mg/m2, 750 mg/m2, 1000 mg/m2 or via oral administration for three months. Other participants were given a placebo. The highest dose given in this study, equivalent to drinking eight cups of green tea in one day.
Oral leukoplaque is a mouth condition that can lead to malignancy / mouth cancer. It has characteristic with a white spot that had thickened mucous membrane (soft tissue) on the inside of the mouth. According to the American Cancer Society, less than 50% of patients with oral cancer survive for five years. Smoking and drinking alcohol are many risk factors that may trigger mouth cancer.
Biopsy from the patient’s mouth compared between the beginning of the study and after 12 months. The result, almost 60% of participants who received green tea extract with the highest dose showed a positive clinical response compared to 37% of people receiving the lowest dose and 18% of people who received placebos. Patients who were included in this study experiencing abnormal cell growth, but growth is slower in people who received green tea extract.
According to the researchers, the findings are not yet a definitive proof that green tea can prevent cancer, because the number of participants was too small. Research is still needed with a larger number of participants and within a longer study to support this research. However, for those who still prefer soda instead of green tea, you’ll need to start changing direction to a healthier lifestyle.
